Will Server Side Includes (SSI) work on your servers?
Yes. SSI's will parse on any page ending in .sht or .shtml.

Can I compile programs written in C and C++?
Yes, if the account you choose includes Telnet access. The standard gcc compiler is used.

Can I upgrade my account?
Yes. You can upgrade your account at any time. If you are upgrading to an account with the same level of set-up fees as your current account, we do not charge a set-up fee for the upgrade. But if you are upgrading to an account with a higher level of set-up fees than your current account, we only charge you the difference in the set-up fees.

Do you maintain backups of my data?
You can back up and restore files as often as required directly to your local machine with our easy-to-use backup utility provided in your web control panel. We do not maintain backups of your site for you. We also do redundant backups to insure that you lose nothing. Call for more info.

Do you support IMAP?
We do not support IMAP on any other plan type.

How many MySQL databases can I create?
There is no limit to the amount of MySQL databases you can create. The database entries use the disk space in the account allocation.

What type of databases do you support?
We offer MySQL and PostgreSQL. We do not support ColdFusion or Access databases. However, if you have your own licensing for these, you can install them on our dedicated environment plans.

Will you place advertisements on my site?
No. We do not place any advertisements on your website.

Can I password protect directories?
Yes. The control panel has an easy-to-use WebPassword PowerApp, which enables you to password-protect one or more directories with multiple users. Since it uses .htaccess, FrontPage users must use the password protection function that is built into their software.

Do you support Java servlets?
We do not support JSP on our shared hosting plans.

Can I access my domain without the "www"?
Yes. You will be able to access your domain address with or without the "www" in front of the domain name. Example: [http://www.your-name.com] or [http://your-name.com] is acceptable, whichever you prefer.

How can I tell how many visitors go to my website?
Webalizer and Urchin, very powerful tools for graphically tracking visitors to your site, are included FREE with every account. They provide you statistics on how long visitors were there, what pages they visited, and the order in which they were visited. With the advanced logging feature activated, it even captures what browser was being used and how the visitors found you, whether through a search engine or a website link.

Will I have unlimited access to my site for updates?
Yes. You have unlimited access via FTP 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. As such, you can create and maintain your web pages on your own computer and upload files to your website at your leisure.

How do I transfer files to my website?
Files must be transferred to the web server via File Transport Protocol (FTP). Internet providers such as AOL, CompuServe, and Prodigy may have a built-in FTP interface. If you need FTP, Telnet, mail, or other Internet software, visit Shareware.com. Shareware is a source for the latest Internet applications with ratings and reviews to help you decide which application is best suited for your needs. An FTP tutorial is also available for beginners who may not be familiar with FTP. Microsoft FrontPage users can "publish" their sites to our server and should not use FTP.

How long does it take to set up a new account?
New accounts are set up within 24 hours from the time we receive your order. Once your account is set up, you will be emailed your account login information (user ID, password & FTP hostname) along with some useful URLs to help you get started. You can immediately start uploading files to your new website. Domain account users will be given a temporary URL to access their site via the web prior to the completion of either domain registration or domain modification.
